Seymour Air Park is located in a rural area at the Foothills of the Smoky Mountains. Even so, it is conveniently located between Knoxville and Sevierville, triangulated by Maryville. We are within 30 minutes, or less, driving time to each of these major cities. All have churches, schools, hospitals, shopping, and cultural and family events ongoing. We are surrounded by farmland, friendly neighbors, and the beautiful outdoors. And don't forget the University of Tennessee and those Vols!!!
Seymour Air Park is located in the beautiful Tennessee Valley, which enjoys a moderate weather pattern. Each of the four seasons is distinct and moderate in temperature with very few days of extreme heat or cold. School children complain there is not enough snow; we don't own a snow shovel. During the winter we do receive dustings of snow that make Winterfest a site to see in all the surrounding areas, especially Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Spring is a beautiful time of year with cool nights and warmer days, which allow the trees and flowers to bloom. Fall is absolutely gorgeous with the varying shades of yellow, orange, red, and brown that fill the tree lines. Tourists flock to the Smoky Mountain National Park to enjoy our backyard.
Tennessee taxes have been ranked lowest in the Nation, per capita. We have no State income tax, no personal property tax, and our real estate taxes are the lowest of surrounding states.
Visitors are always welcome at Seymour, whether by car or plane. If you need a space to keep your plane for a day or two, call ahead and we'll find you a place to park. Maybe you'll just decide to live here too. We have hangers for sale as well as residential lots.
